Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of the UFC. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina then won an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 with an impressive win against Anara Baanova in the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She took the fight with a TKO in round two and her subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long absence of MMA. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. After this win, Antonina was offered the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
